Muscular Strength and Endurance

Client Gender: Male Age: 30 years old

BMI (Body Mass Index) Calculation:                     WAIST TO HIP RATIO:

Formula:   BMI=Weight (kg) / Height (m)2     Formula: WHR=Waist Circumference / Hip
                                        Circumference
Given data: Weight = 94.35 kg                      Given data: Waist circumference = 38 inches
                    Height = 1.77 m                                              Hip circumference = 34 inches

Solution:  BMI= 94.35kg / (1.77m)2                  Solution: WHR=38/34
                      =94.35kg /3.13                                              WHR=1.12
                BMI=30.1

Interpretation of BMI:                                      Interpretation of WHR:
                Obesity: BMI ≥ 30                                            For men:

        High risk: WHR > 0.95

Evaluation:

My client’s BMI falls into the World Health Organization's categorization of Obesity (Class 1) with a BMI of 30.1. A WHR of 1.12 also indicates a high risk for cardiovascular problems or other obesity-related illnesses because it is much higher than the usual range, particularly for men. It is still above the moderate-risk level if it is female.

My 30-year-old male client is classified as "Good" by the ACSM Fitness Categories by Age Group and Sex for Push-Up table because he completed 21 push-ups. In addition, according to the Push-up Standards for US Army Personnel chart, my client completed 21 push-ups and earned 40 points. He falls into the "Below Average" category for the United States, which implies that the US Army uses a different, more intricate scoring method (point allocation) depending on the quantity of push-ups performed. Army-required push-ups (21–30).

Reflection:

Administering these tests, including the Body Mass Index (BMI), Waist-to-Hip Ratio (WHR), ACSM and the U.S. The Army Physical Fitness Test (APFT) offers important information about a person's level of fitness and health regarding muscular strength and endurance. A thorough assessment of physical performance and overall health is made possible by the administration of these tests and the interpretation of the findings. These fitness tests have given a comprehensive picture of the client's present physical condition. The client's push-up performance reveals areas where muscular endurance can be enhanced, even though his BMI and WHR suggest that weight loss and better fat distribution are necessary.
